found 77 times in the KJV. In St. Luke’s
genealogy of Christ (Luke 3), Jesus Christ is the 77th generation from
God. Jesus’ choice phrase “Verily,
verily” is found 77 times in the Gospels.

commemorates the Genesis creation account.
