Satan’s War Against the Ten Commandments

I think the preaching and teaching of the Ten Commandments is highly underestimated by most Christians (especially the hyper-grace preachers).  It has been said that the Ten Commandments were America’s moral foundation.  Actually the King James Bible or Authorized Version of 1611 which reveals to us the Ten Commandments and the Gospel of Jesus Christ made this nation great.  We’ve had the inestimable riches of these treasures even since the Pilgrims came over with the Geneva Bible (which I might add was a Textus Receptus Protestant Reformation Bible).  And because we as Americans in colonial and early America gave heed to God’s law and Christ’s gospel: God Almighty blessed this nation like none other in history.  James Madison (1751-1836) known as "the Chief Architect of the Constitution" and the 4th United States President (1809-1817) said "We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves ACCORDING TO THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GOD." However, Satan (mankind’s greatest enemy) saw this source of blessing too: so he decided to war against the Ten Commandments!

The first attack came from the Vatican when the Roman Catholics removed the 2nd commandment, and changed the enumeration for the rest of the commandments!  You want to talk about bringing a curse upon you, your family, your church, and your nation—just try worshipping idols and images!  Apostle Paul said there is a devil behind every idol and image (see 1 Cor. 10:20).  [See also Lev. 17:7 and Deut. 32:17.]  That was actually the same mistake Jeroboam made when he became king of Israel, they worshipped two golden calves—one in Dan and one in Bethel.  The Holy Bible denounces “the sins of Jeroboam” fourteen times in 1 & 2 Kings.  God gave us the Ten Commandments to protect us from sin and the author of sin, Satan.  But the Catholics have swung the door wide open for him by removing the prohibition of worshipping images.

The second attack on the Ten Commandments came from the modern Laodicean bible scholars.  Apostle Paul repeats the 'Second Table' of the Law for Christians in Romans 13:9.  However, beginning with the ASV in 1901, the Alexandrian scholars removed the 9th commandment from Romans 13:9.  You will find “Thou shalt not bear false witness” in the King James 1611 Bible, but it is gone not only in the ASV, but also the RSV, NRSV, NASB, NIV, ESV, NLT, and many other Alexandrian versions.

So our ‘beloved brethren’ got rid of two of the Ten Commandments, but the greatest attack on them was done by the United States Supreme Court.  After knocking out prayer and Bible reading from our public schools in 1962 and 1963; in 1980 the Supreme Court decided to stop displaying the Ten Commandments in public schools, and thus get rid of ALL TEN COMMANDMENTS from the hearts and minds of our youth!  What has happened since then?  Our schools have turned into drug cartels, war zones, and atheistic hellholes.  Studies have shown that just about everything that contributes to make a nation a nasty, filthy, ungodly, pagan disaster rapidly increased since the 1960’s.  If God decides to give this nation a few pockets of revival and maybe even an awakening or two that would be fine with me; but for the most part this nation is shot!  I’m looking up for the Rapture of the church and to see our Lord Jesus Christ in the air!  Amen & Amen.
