Blandford Forum
By Prophet Jacob R. Blandford
A “forum” is described as a
meeting place where views can be exchanged, or as a tribunal, a judicial
center, a place of public business, or a court.
Probably the most famous “forum” is the Kia
Forum in Los Angeles. But the term,
like many of our English words, comes from the AV Holy Bible. It is found in Acts 28:15—there was a place
in Italy called “Appii forum”. Now the King James Bible was translated in
1611, so this word is at least 413 years old.
The word’s etymology comes from Latin.
But again, back to the English.
Our King James Bible was produced by King James and the Church of
England. My ancestry, I’d estimate, is
about 90% English, because English blood is in both of my parents’ lineage. I also live in the USA where our national language is English. I got my surname “Blandford” from my
Dad. What’s interesting is, there is a town in Dorset,
England called “Blandford Forum”! Blandford Forum is a market town with a
population of 10,355. This is neat for
me because this is a place where my Bible, my ancestry, and even my name all
meet up together. Thank you, Lord Jesus,
Amen.
