The Godly Ones

The Saints: also known as Christians (Rom. 1:6-7; 1 Cor. 1:2).

Also known as “the elect” or “the chosen ones”.

The definition of ‘saint’ is a ‘godly or holy one’. Therefore the “saints” in the Holy Bible are the holy or godly ones. Amen.

In the Allan Oxford Longprimer marginal notes in Psalm 16:10 and Psalm 89:19, “holy” is equivalent to “godly”. Saints should be described as “Christly”, sacred, pure, consecrated, separated, and blameless.
