Head of the Church:
Jesus Christ
By Prophet Jacob
R. Blandford
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Head
of the Church. And the Church is His
Body. Believers in Jesus comprise His
Body. See Rom. 12:4-5; I Cor. 3:16-17, 6:19; II Cor. 6:16,
12:12-13, 27; Gal. 3:28; Eph. 1:22-23, 4:4-6, 12, 15-16, 5:23, 30-32; Col.
1:18, 24, 2:10, 3:15.
Read I
Corinthians 3:21, 4:6. Yet a Catholic or
ecumenist foolishly says, 'But I thought the Pope was comely?' Nope dope, no hope in the pope. The child who's comely in God's eyes is that
poor saintly woman living up in mountains, pouring her heart out to Jesus:
that's who's comely. (see Luke 9:48, 13:30, 14:11,
22:25-26) The priesthood she's accepted as a born-again
Christian is true; it's not make-believe like papacy priests. (cf. I Pet. 2:5,
9) Here are the true offices with in the
Body of Christ: I Corinthians 12:28-29; Ephesians 4:11-12. And Paul deals with bishops and deacons in I
Timothy 3 & Titus 1. And Peter deals
with pastors and elders in I Peter 5.
You read nothing in Scriptures
about overlords, mediums, or mediators in the Church. The Scriptures say nothing (unless negatively
— e.g. III John 9; Rev. 2:6, 15) about popes, presidents, special-representatives,
apostolic-successions, infallible-leaders, or substituting-heads, or other human
embodiments of Christ. The pope is not
in the body of Christ because he acts like the head. (see
Matt. 23:8; Gal. 3:28) If he WAS in the
body of Christ he'd recognize he's NOT the Head. The only representative of the Lord Jesus
Christ in the Church is the Holy Ghost Amen!
The Head is not a mere-man (see
Rom. 3:10, 12, 23, 4:2), the Head is
the God-man, Jesus Christ, Who is in heaven at the right hand of the Father;
not on earth. (cf. Ps. 73:25) The real
Head of the Church also rules the universe (i.e. the stars and their courses,
wildlife, &c.). This is His
glorious, exalted, position (see John 12:41), (that the devil has always
coveted —see Is. 14:14), which is solely
held by He Who is infinite in wisdom — not something to be delegated. (see Is. 42:8, 48:11)
If the pope was the head of the church, he as a mere-man, would be
utterly incapable of "...upholding all things by the word of his
power..." (Heb. 1:3). If the pope
is the head of the church I'd like to know how he deals with Eph. 1:20-23; Ps.
73:25; Col. 1:18, 2:9-10. These
Scriptures were written hundreds of years before the popes even came into
existence, but Christ on the other had has always existed. (see
Mic. 5:2; Matt. 2:5-6; Rev. 1:8) Lord Christ Jesus, Who is the true Head of
the Church, has omnipotent power (see Matt. 28:28); if He shared it with
another man He alone wouldn't be sovereign. (see Rev.
15:4, 19:6) If you understood the deity
of Jesus Christ you wouldn't blaspheme His Name by supposing a mortal man could
minister in His stead. Christ's
ambassador on earth is the Holy Spirit Who also
operates within true, born-again Christians: not one man, the body of Christ is
His ambassador (see II Cor. 5:20), and we're operating by His Spirit, not ourselves. (see John 7:37-39) The
point is this: a false Christ points to himself, a true Christian points not to
himself, but to Christ in heaven. (see John 7:18)
Only the Holy Spirit qualifies to
be Christ's representative here in the world, because only the Holy Spirit is
part of the Trinity with Christ (see 1 John 5:7 KJV), and has the attributes of
the Godhead with Christ and the Father.
The Holy Ghost is Christ's Representative. (see
John 16:7-11, 14-15) For a mere-man to
claim he can do that is blasphemy (see Matt. 12:32;
Mark 3:29; Luke 12:10). No man has:
eternity, omnipresence (see Ps. 139:7-12; Matt. 18:20),
omniscience, and omnipotence. No, the
pope does not qualify to be Christ's 'vicar'; he qualifies to be the devil's
beast. King James relates: 'Christ did not promise...to leave Peter
with them to direct and instruct them in all things; but he promised to send
the holy Ghost for that end.' —King
James VI & I, Premonition.
PRAYER.
Thank You Lord Jesus for leading me to write
this article in defense of Thy holy Headship of the Church. To
the glory of the Everlasting Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus
Christ's Holy & Mighty Name I pray, Amen & Amen.
