John & Jesus
Too
Good To Be True?
By Prophet Jacob R.

It can be proven clearly and
without a shadow of doubt (both historically and archeologically) that the
Hebrew Old Testament is a collection of ancient books written at the time
scholars like C.I. Scofield have estimated.
That’s not my argument I’m making in this article. My argument in this article is that Jesus
Christ (at his first advent) was the specific and true fulfillment of the
messianic Jewish prophecies. Now, there
are many, many messianic prophecies. But
I just want to focus on two places: Isaiah 40:3 and Malachi 3:1—here we have a prediction
of the Messiah’s arrival and his forerunner.
Again, these are Old Testament prophecies. And when you come to the Gospels in the
Christian New Testament, we find that these Scriptures (which claim to be
inspired by the Holy Spirit) claim that John the Baptist and Jesus Christ
fulfilled these roles. (see Matt. 3:3, 11:10)
And I agree. John and Jesus stand
out with such power and spiritual righteousness that nobody can honestly
declare that these stories are a fabrication.
The New Testament fits so well into the overall biblical ‘puzzle pieces’
that it cannot be honestly stated the New Testament of Jesus Christ is not of
God. Plus, it fits into so, so, so many
prophecies in BOTH Testaments that it becomes even clearer that the testimony
of Jesus Christ is correct and true.
Daniel 9 even gives us the timing of the advent. Then there’s the testimony of the Christian church
for the last 2,000 years. We have stood
the test of time and just about every attack our enemies could bring against
us. And there are the individual
testimonies of lives being radically changed for good and better by those who
have accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
Christians have received countless answers to prayers when they have
asked God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Gregorian calendar is based on Christ’s birthday. Micah 2:7 can be applied not only to the Old
Testament Hebrew Scriptures, but also to the New Testament Christian Scriptures. I know this personally: I have put the Book
‘to the test’ and cannot find ANYTHING suspicious, fraudulent, or deceitful
about it. To the contrary, the Old and
New Testaments, expose deceit and darkness, and prove by their own validity,
inspiration, and holiness that they are the final authority for all Truth. Things this Book says happen: happen. And things this Book says won’t happen: don’t
happen. I know both Testaments are 100%
correct, because with all of my personal investigation and evaluation I see it
is what it claims to be... the inspired, infallible, inerrant, eternal word of
God. If John and Jesus weren’t who
Isaiah and Malachi were writing about, who was it? And if they weren’t, who could be better men
than Jesus and John? I know not
any. And I’ll go to grave believing
(with an honest conscience) that Jesus is the both Lord and Christ; and that
his New Testament is the spiritual truth upon which to base all judgment. If I’m deluded about the New Testament, this
is one delusion I can live with. I’ve
see the alternative of pagan individuals and nations who have rejected Christ,
and embraced a culture of death. I’ll
gladly go the other way from them. The
Bible brings sanity and truth to a fallen world that so desperately needs
it. There’s a saying, ‘Too good to be
true.’ I’d like to say, ‘Too good not to be true.’ In Jesus Christ’s name,
Amen & Amen.
P.S. When I read the Scriptures about John and
Jesus, I SEE with my spiritual eyes the Spirit of the Lord so clearly. In Christ’s name, Amen.
