Married to the Lord

By Prophet Jacob R. Blandford

On Thursday, 11-15-2018 A.D., I told a sister in Jesus Christ (while walking on the treadmill at the YMCA) that I was married to the Lord.  I said I was his wife.  Now, it may seem like I was exalting myself (cf. Prov. 17:19), but I wasn’t; I simply know the truths of my salvation and my relationship with Christ.  Was I including myself; and excluding her and other saints?  Of course not.  But like I said, I know the truths of my salvation and my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ; and if other Christians don’t know that it is their fault because they’ve spent too much time in the world and watching TV, instead of seeking God out of the Book of the Law (AV 1611).

I can show you from Rom. 7:4 and 2 Cor. 11:2 that I am COMPLETEY valid in making such a claim.  But like I said, a lot Christians (especially the Laodiceans) don’t even know these things: so I it sounds foreign or fanatical to them.  But that’s because they either reject the Book (KJV) or pervert it (Ex. 23:8; Deut. 16:19 KJV).  They mess with that Book so God messes with their mind.

But there have been women in my life I’ve been interested in.  Yea, very interested in.  But I feel I’m called as a eunuch (see Matt. 19:12); and therefore I’ve never asked for a wife.  I’ve followed Apostle Paul’s advice in 1 Cor. 7; and I’ve followed his and Jesus’ patterns as bachelors.  Every time I’ve considered marriage, God has drawn me closer to Him and has shown me He wants me dedicated & consecrated to Him.

I often sing this little song... “I’ve got a good life. ‘Cause to the Lord, I’m his wife.”

No one should be offended by me saying that.  I wasn’t exalting myself.  Shame on believers if they don’t know Rom. 7:4 and 2 Cor. 11:2.  Ministers should be looking for the Coming of the Bridegroom for his Bride (the Church).  If some Christians won’t embrace marriage with Christ, oh well, I will as a Christian man.  In the name of the Head of the Church, the Lord Jesus Christ, our Husband and Redeemer, Amen.

Moreover, if you think that God isn’t near to me: consider that Apostle Paul said our bodies are temples of the Holy Ghost (see 1 Cor. 3:16, 6:19; 2 Cor. 6:16).  That’s as close as it gets brother!  Quote, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” (1 Cor. 6:17)  So the Saviour said, “What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Matt. 19:6)
