“And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword”

Isaiah 49:2

The awesome Almighty Lord Jesus Christ cuts very sharply with His inspired red words in Rev. Chapters 2 and 3 in the 1611. He strongly attacks Roman Catholicism in Chapter 2. First, He says He hates Nicolaitanism in Rev. 2:6, 15—this is none other than Popery itself. The word ‘Nicolaitan’ is a Greek word which literally means ‘victory over laity’—this can be seen in no greater way than how the Pope, as the Antichrist, who rules over his deceived followers; leading them into lies, superstition, false traditions: leading them into hell!

Next, we read in verses 14 and 20 about two children of the devil—real false prophets! These two false prophets, Balaam and Jezebel, tricked God’s people into committing “fornication” and “to eat things sacrificed to idols”. The “fornication” the Lord mentions is spiritual fornication or unfaithfulness (just take a look at “the great whore” in Chapters 17 and 18 of the same Book). The idolatrous eating that’s being done here is the Satanic wafer god presented to practitioners at the Catholic mass. Only the devious and crafty Lucifer could and would turn the memorial of the Lord’s Supper into a blasphemous, pagan “sacrifice to devils” (1 Cor. 10:20).

The same chapters in Proverbs that warn you about the whore and the adulteress (Prov. 2–7) (viz. the RCC as described in Rev. 17 & 18,) also warn you about the Catholic mass in Proverbs 6:26 (cf. Prov. 20:17).

It is sad to say, but most of our ‘church’ history for the last 2,000 years is the story about how the Apostles’ simple faith in the gracious Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ has turned into a ‘Christianized’ pagan religious fantasy that has dammed millions of souls to hell. But the Apostle Paul said the Gentiles would get into that mess in Romans 1:18-32.

Also, not to forget, in the beginning of the chapter (2:2), the Lord says, “I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars”. These “false prophets” (Matt. 7:15) and “false teachers” (2 Pet. 2:1) call themselves “apostles” but they are “liars”. The pope claims ‘apostolic succession’ from the apostle Peter (whom they call ‘the prince of the apostles’)—thus the pope styles himself as an APOSTLE (to have the glory and praise of men). Paul denounced these hypocritical apostles in 2 Cor. 11:13-15. These men are to be denounced and ridiculed because they are the emissaries of Satan.

Let me tell you something now, I’m not making this stuff up, I’m quoting scripture and stating facts. I’m not perverting anybody’s religion here; I’m just shedding “light” (Prov. 6:23; Ps. 119:105, 130 AV 1611) on the subject. Thus, the Holy Spirit purposely exposes and condemns the Roman Catholic religion. Again, the Holy Ghost says that this false and satanic religion will ultimately send you to “hell” (Prov. 5:5, 7:27, 9:18) if you fornicate with it—therefore, the harlot the Spirit is talking about is the same fornicating whore in Rev. 17 and 18.
